The PEDIGREE TAB is where you record the pedigree/ancestry of an animal.

It is accessible via AotG >> Animals, by clicking either  to add a new animal, or the  EDIT ICON at the left of an existing animal row. Click the PEDIGREE TAB to make it the active (white) tab.

People running commercial herds with non-breeding animals may not need this section, which can be ignored if so.

People with breeding herds will probably want to keep pedigree records, and in this tab you can either select ancestors from previously entered animals, or enter them as you go.

Please read the next chapter How to Construct a Pedigree for the absolute best way to enter pedigrees, regardless of herd size.
