If your herd averages a different gestation period you’d rather use, go to AotG >> Property and enter that number in the Gestation Days field.

This number becomes the new default for all new mating records, and will appear automatically when adding mating records.

You can still override this for individual animals—simply overwrite the default number with your own.

AotG >> Animals is alphabetically by the IDENTIFIER COLUMN HEADING

AotG >> Groups is alphabetically by the GROUP NAME COLUMN HEADING (this is the only column actually!)

AotG >> Animals in Groups is alphabetically by the GROUP COLUMN HEADING

AotG >> Procedures is alphabetically by the SHORT DESCRIPTION COLUMN HEADING

AotG >> Medical is reverse chronological order by the DATE COLUMN HEADING

AotG >> Weighing is reverse chronological order by the WEIGHING DATE COLUMN HEADING

AotG >> Mating is reverse chronological order by the ACTION DATE COLUMN HEADING

AotG >> Shearing is reverse chronological order by the SHEARING DATE COLUMN HEADING

Click to toggle on and off a list of animals at that show.

Clicking on the SHOWING TAB will create a new page of all details for that one show, that you may find useful to print:

Use this section to record all show results. You can add to this list at any time and in any order.

1. If you haven’t already done so, first create the list of shows in AotG >> Shows (shown here)

2. Click on at top of page, or

on The Dashboard

3. Click on the next screen to enter the Showing, Add new screen

4. Here select a Show, an animal via Identifier(Name), and enter a Category and Result

5. Click

6. A visual confirmation will appear:

and a new empty page loads immediately below ready for new data

7. Click to view all entered records in list form. (You can also click in the top menu anywhere in the program at any time to come to this page.) You can edit any detail at any time by clicking the EDIT ICON to the left of that record

Use this section to create a list of all the shows you have show results for in AotG >> Showing (shown here). You can add to this list at any time and in any order.

3. Enter the Show Name

You can add mating records at any time and in any order.

1. Click on at top of page, or

on The Dashboard

2. Click on the next screen to enter the Mating, Add new screen

3. Select a Dam, an Action (Mating, Birth, Spitoff, Ultrasound, or Notes), Sire and Action Date

4. The Gestation Days field displays a default value of 342 days but you can override that for a herd and for individual animals. Read how to set gestation days here

Please ignore this field if not entering a Mating record. This number writes to the Gestation Days column in AotG >> Mating only when Mating is selected from the Action field. Changing this number has no effect on Birth, Spitoff, Ultrasound, and Notes records. Please see 8 below

5. You can come back later, eg after a birth, to enter an Outcome and Comments

Please note below how the Gestation Days and related Estimated DOB (Date of Birth) columns are filled for Mating records, but are blank for Birth, Spitoff, Ultrasound and Notes records:

From here you can click any of the coloured buttons to go directly to that section.

You can also click the section name in the menu bar:

Yet another way to navigate to other sections is to click the on any section title bar like this: .

Clicking reveals options by which you can finetune your printout:

And if you select some records with the CHECKBOXES, the PRINT MENU will default to the Print selected option:

You can return to the list page and finetune the printout still further at this point, othwerwise go ahead and print via your browser’s built in File >> Print or File >> Print Preview function:
